Ruth Grier is a former Ontario MPP who was Minister of the Environment and later Minister of Health under the NDP government. She was always and continues to be a tireless environmental activist and is currently Chair of the Cancer Prevention sub-committee of the Toronto Environmental Alliance (TEA).
The honourable Dr. Jean Augustine is the Fairness Commissioner of Ontario and former Member of Parliament in Ontario. Her list of accomplishments includes many historical firsts, such as being the first African-Canadian woman in Cabinet. It’s also thanks to Jean’s work with the Ontario Black History Society, that February is Black History Month in Canada.*
