Tabling at environment events

WHEN needs you this spring and summer!  We have been invited to once again have a space at the City of Toronto’s Community Environment Days.  These happen on Saturdays and a few weeknights throughout the summer and early fall at school and community centre parking lots across the city.   (Check here for the exact dates and locations).

We focus our table on our WTF campaign (wannabetoxicfree.org) – raising awareness about the toxins found in our everyday personal care and household cleaning products.   It is a great chance to meet people who care about the environment but don’t realize about these environmental risks to their health.

We are holding a training session soon to teach volunteers the material, and get comfortable speaking on behalf of WHEN on these issues.  Typically two volunteers (or a volunteer and board member) would attend a table.  It is a fun and educational way to help WHEN, and doing a shift outside under a tent for a few hours in the summer is nice too!

Please email us at volunteers@womenshealthyenvironments.ca if you are interested and we will get in touch with you as soon as the training session is scheduled.
